Welcome to my hump day Wednesday post

Morning all,

How is your week coming along? I HOPE that Hurricane Ophelia didn't cause you much trouble and/or damage and that it has gone, leaving a pleasant autumnal feel behind - this is kind of my inspiration for the card below . . . . .


My autumnal toned card
 
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit as my image panel and insert and one snippet of DCWV patterned card from their Old World stack, cut to mat
  • Using low tack tape I masked off a strip and applied Distress Inks in mustard seed and spiced marmalade using a Tim Holtz mini blending tool
  • Using a Tim Holtz graded circles stencil, a blending too and Distress Oxide in candied apple I applied colour fairly randomly but with image placement in mind.
  • Inkadinkado image (from their meadow set) stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Clearly Wordsworth sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Krylon matte fixative applied to seal the water based inks

Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit and one piece of pink cut to mat
  • Stampendous mouse image (HMCV19 Cling Ballerina Baby) and sentiment (SSC1115 Birthday wish) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Derwent coloursoft pencils used to colour and blended with a Finesse blending pen ..... is it me or have they changed the pens? This ones brush nib is dulling after blending just three images! Hmmf
  • Wink of Stella clear glitter gel brush pen used to bling up the "fur" and stardust stickles to bling up the tutu!

Welcome to another lazy Monday!

Morning

Many of my regular readers and/or followers will know that I exchange ATC's with a buddy on the Isle of Skye and this year we are going with monthly themes to our ATC's - this one's for October's "Masculine" theme ...... cue motorbike!


My ATC
Materials used:-
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in Kraft, navy and white
  • Using a Tim Holtz mini blending tool I applied Distress Inks: tumbled glass and hickory smoke
  • Visible Image mini flourish (a Craft Stamper freebie) stamped around the outer edge of the ATC using Memento London fog ink
  • Creative Expressions stylised "tyre tread" stamped using Memento London fog ink
  • Unknown manufacturers motorcycle image (it's unmounted rubber and at least ten years old - my memory's good .. but not quite THAT good!) stamped using Versafinne onyx black ink
  • Creative Expressions "No.1" image stamped using Versafine smokey grey ink
  • Black "S" thickness pitt pen used to doodle a border on the Kraft layer

  • Derwent Coloursoft pencils to colour, blended with a Finesse blending pen

Saturday post

Hope you are all having a triffik weekend, we are!

As is my usual habit, I like to make a card for some Saturday challenges and today is no different ... other than it's my personal nemesis .... the dreaded ONE LAYER CARD!

  • One piece of white card cut to mat, for the insert
  • Creative Expressions (Urban Beats) star image stamped using Distress Oxide candied apple and the sentiment using Memento luxe nautical blue inks

Welcome to Friday 13th!

Morning all,

Here's hoping you've had a good week and aren't superstitious about today being Friday 13th!

Reckon I've almost finished my Christmas card quota for 2017 but I got some new stash recently - a set from Paper Artsy - I was determined not to consign it to the drawer as NBUS (Never Before Used Stash - thanks for coining that Darnell!!!) and am pleased to discover I have inked all the images on the set, bar one! YAY!

  • White 12.7cm square, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 11.5cm square
  • One piece of navy card cut to 12cm square
  • Paper Artsy penguin image (ZA17) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Sparkle 'n Sprinkle sentiment stamped using Memento Paris dusk ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils and Tsukineko gelly roll glitter gel pens to colour
  • Stardust stickles to bling up the stars, sentiment, sweater and snow!

  • Snippets of card in Kraft, textured deep burgundy and white
  • Old Time Crafts script stamped using Memento London fog ink
  • Stampers Anonymous cobweb stamped using Memento grey flannel ink
  • Katie & Co sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Stampers Anonymous oak leaf stamped using Ranger Archival sienna ink
  • Using a Tim Holtz mini blender I applied the following Distress Inks: wild honey, vintage photo. rich espresso and black soot - sealing with an application of Crafters Companion spray and shine - to protect the water based inks

A special project for a special birthday

Morning all,

Well I have a very special batch of projects to share with you today ... first, the card ....


My card

Materials used:
  • White 10cm square, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 9 and 9½cm square
  • One piece of navy card cut to 9½cm square
  • My Favorite Things image stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Alcohol markers, zig markers and Kaisercraft gel pens used to add touches of colour and sparkle to image
  • Stardust stickles to bling him up a bit!
  • CAS-ual Friday sentiments (from the WTF set) stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • For the insert I added Inkadinkado sentiment and numbers stamped using Ranger Archival watering can and cobalt blue inks - highlighting with Kaisercraft gel pens (both glitter and neon)



Here's hoping it will have hit the spot with the recipient! Especially since I have made the gift bottle tag to co-ordinate




Materials used:
  • Snippets of card in white and navy
  • Circle dies
  • Dylusions alphabet (DYB41917), Inkadinkado numbers (31318 Birthday numbers) and MFT chef (from Recipe for Happiness) images all stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour and Kaisercraft glitter gel pens
  • White organza ribbon, to tie it in place - see below

Materials used:
  • Red tissue paper, one sheet, cut in half and lightly dusted using an anti static bag
  • MFT chef (from the Recipe for Happiness set) stamped using Versamark ink
  • Funstamps white embossing powder sprinkled, the excess shaken off and then heat embossed
  • Once the embossed design had cooled a little I stamped the TPC Studio (cupcakes set) sentiment using Ranger Archival jet black ink
